23rd October 2018
Location: Lake Pukaki, South Island, New Zealand.
This was my second photoshoot of the day. I arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand, the day before and headed towards Tekapo, New Zealand, earlier that morning.
I discovered an off the beaten track location on the peripheral of Tekapo, where I captured some special images for prints.
As a landscape photographer I intentionally look for out of the way places to photograph, offering unique shots.
Freeze frame is associated with film photography.
When I arrived at Lake Pukake, the wind was almost overwhelming in strength. It almost blew my camera and tripod to the ground on one occasion.
However, I was fortunate enough to capture the mood of the weather with the clouds adding a dramatic effect, whilst the light was perfect.
Rain was imminent but I knew the importance of working quickly to capture images that will accurately portray the moment.
