It is not unusual for Wanaka, South Island, New Zealand, to experience snow falls during the summer months.
This image was captured from Lake Wanaka, during the summer.
The wind picked up considerably, which I favour as it adds drama to the image.
I stood fairly deep in the lake, intending to ‘bring’ the image to you, alive with colour, transporting you to a place that is special to you!
It is amazing how quickly the weather can change in mountainous regions.
Earlier, during the photo shoot, I was capturing reflections.
But I favour the ‘moods’ that nature impacts us with. Unpredictable!
Snow, clouds and mountains complement each other, don’t they?!
Standing in the lake, all I did was adjust the focal length of my lens to bring the mountains closer to you, for you to appreciate.
Before long, the snow has melted and the lake increased in height as a result.
Landscape photography is a dream come true for me, living the dream and occupying its reality!
Live your dream! Step into it!
Thank you for liking my work!
