Untouchable

Location: Lake Wanaka, Wanaka, Otago, South Island, New Zealand
The morning I captured this image of the infamous ‘That Wanaka Tree’ was stunning. Although the temperature dropped significantly at the point of sunrise, it was worth the wait. The golden light soaked the lake and mountains, whilst a soft fog rose above the water, emphasising their beauty, with inspirational reflections.
The birds settle in the tree overnight, and one by one, as the night surrenders to the day, they take flight. The crystal clear water is breathtaking.
