Lake Hayes is in close proximity to Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand.
It is a spectacular setting, with perfect reflections.
I arrived at the lake early.
It is a popular tourist spot particularly with camper vans. Camping overnight.
My camera, tripod and other photographic equipment was at the ready.
Wearing my waders, I stepped into the lake before sunrise and commenced my shoot.
Witnessing the night surrender to the sunrise is always a unique experience.
The ducks are fairly prolific in this area and they enjoy the challenge of chasing each other as they are particularly territorial at the lake.
Sometimes the solitude of a landscape photographer is an expression of an appreciation of nature and a healthy alternative to a busy life.
During my time at Lake Hayes, the fog continued to rise from the surface of the water, introducing intrigue!
As a landscape photographer, I am passionate about seeking new ways to capture landscapes that inspire and provoke joy and peace.
Thank you for liking my work!
