Glendhu Bay is in close proximity to Wanaka, South Island, New Zealand.
It is renowned for its autumn colours and as you can see from the image, the combined hues of green and gold are eye catching.
The morning I arrived at Glendhu Bay it was calm and cloudless.
As a landscape photographer I appreciate the importance of clouds and snow and the difference they can make to a image.
But I’m a believer of making the most of what you have at hand and the brilliant display of colours in the Poplar and Willow trees live up to their reputation.
I stepped into Lake Wanaka wearing my waders. It is amazing how the lake varies in depth. In some places in the lake, it suddenly drops to an amazing depth.
The sunrise was striking, rising behind the mountain and the reflections leave one in awe and wonder of our Creator, God.
Landscape photography can sometimes encourage one to think outside the square, being in remote places and surrounded by inspirational beauty.
Quite honestly, with my camera, tripod and filters at hand, I am happy to click my camera button and absorb the beautiful landscapes that surround me.
Thank you for liking my work!
