This location, Flagstaff Beach, New South Wales, Australia, is superb. I’ve had so much fun at this beach.
It is versatile from a photographic perspective and very popular with surfers.
I always arrive at my photoshoot destinations a ‘crack’ before dawn.
As I like to settle into my shoot before sunrise.
I’m inclined to investigate new photoshoot locations before I actually do a shoot from there.
It’s important for me to be familiar with where I’m shooting, particularly if I arrive in the dark.
The morning of this shoot, the tide was coming in and the sea was rough.
Reading the waves is relevant as I need to understand what the ocean and tide are doing.
That is indicative as to where I position myself. Flagstaff beach ‘hugs’ the border with Queensland.
During the summers months New South Wales is one hour ahead of Queensland.
Thank you for appreciating my work!
