Location: Gold Coast Hinterland, Queensland, Australia.
Recently, I decided to explore the countryside, quite close to home.
I knew about this location and was inspired with what I saw.
As we had been lacking in rain, a ‘lip’ of land had developed between an impressive expanse of water, which enabled me to secure a good spot and reduce the height of my tripod to a point of which my camera was literally ‘skimming’ just above the surface of the water.
The sunrises at this location have been inspirational. With the good rain we have been experiencing, the water has covered that strip of dry land. I was fortunate to capture this image when I did. And grateful for the rain, at the same time.
